Lyric on-ear headphones: Review
These incredibly detailed headphones are available from A-Audio.com in two colors. Liquid Chrome and Platinum Black. We have received Liquid Chrome and they are just stunning. The contrast of the chrome and the black alone is rich. But, then you have a foam padded head piece and the most comfortable ear pads that you’ve ever touched.
Part of the Lyric’s overall beauty is in the details. For example, the set comes with two sets of audio wires. One contains a mic and the other does not. You don’t have to play hide-and-seek to find the correct adapter, either. They are both in the clear, plastic bag with the two sets of wires. Oh and that warning about having the sound turned all the way down before you turn on your music. That is not a joke! We dismissed it as minutia and we paid for that. Yes, we paid dearly. We have also not ever been more in love with a pair of headphones in our entire lives!
We tested the set with Akon’s, “Smack That.” However, this did not provide enough bass for a sufficient test. Hence, we headed back to retro-awesome, Kleeer’s, “Tonight.” We will probably never forgot the sound as heard through the Lyric’s. Seriously epic.
The Lyric on-ear headphones retail for $199.00 and may be purchased online. Shipping is free for Standard Ground packaging. They come with a two-year warranty, a polishing cloth and a carrying case.
